About Giclée Masters
Giclée Masters (formerly Skyblue Digital) has evolved through over 40 years of working in the art of printing from older conventional photographic techniques to the latest high-end giclée copy process.
Printing to achieve a virtual clone is something that not only relies on the support of high quality, specialist equipment and materials but most importantly a 'good eye' (a very good eye!) and years of experience in colour matching. We believe Giclée Masters will give your art reproduction that personal touch with care and special attention to the finest detail in colour, from the deepest vibrant oils to the most subtle of watercolours.
We take pride in our friendly relationship with our artists and clients, and endeavor to provide a complete, end-to-end service.
Working for many years to the highest standards has given us a wealth of experience in the commercial world of fine art printing for professional establishments. We have worked closely with the finest publishers such as Castle galleries, and art estates such as Picasso, Turner, Dali, as well as artists such as Mackenzie Thorpe, Jack Russell, Nick Trudgian, Chris Collingwood, Paul James, Henry Fraser and many, many more.
Fine Art and the reproduction of art is the only focus of work carried out by us at Giclée Masters. We take pride in our friendly relationship with our artists and clients, and endeavor to provide a complete, end-to-end service. From scanning and proofing, printing (paper and canvas), finishing, mounting, bonding, stretching or framing, you can be sure to achieve that high quality professional finish that youre looking for and at very competitive prices.
Alex Harrington: In Profile
My experience of reproduction first began in the early 1980s when I studied at Reading University gaining a degree in commercial and advertising photography. When I first realised that the giclée process and the digital copying age was superior to any of the print reproduction techniques used I started SkyBlue Digital, working primarily with publishers, as well as artists, galleries and art estates.
Previously Giclée Masters have served as one of Castle Galleries preferred suppliers, offering them the complete reproduction service. I have also been lucky enough to work closely for publishers reproducing limited editions of works by well known artists such as William Turner, Pablo Picasso, Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt and many more.
I have also, through our prints, been one of the first to have giclée prints exhibited at the royal academy exhibitions back in 2003 (prints by Anthony Green R.A).
